Fall 2020 Update

Message from the President

Dear fellow members and supporters,

This past year was like no other, with the US/Canada border closed due to the unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic. Traffic was down as a result, but the beauty of the Park endures. Please see Ranger Ming's message from June 2020 on this website for details of progress being made. Working in conjunction with BC Parks, BC Parks Foundation and numerous volunteers and supporters, we continue to maintain and make improvements at the Park, such as continued land acquisition within the inlet, maintaining the trails, installing mooring buoys - a favorite of boaters, and installing better signage, and put a new roof on the gazebo. We have also improved our internal processes, with a new membership and finance system, and improved internal governance processes. Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) is scheduled for December 3 at 5pm PST, and hope members can join us.

With the vaccine on the way, we hope we can return to normalcy soon, with visits to the Park by experienced fans as well as newcomers. We look forward to welcoming another busy summer season and hope that the weather cooperates into wonderful cruising weather. Many thanks for your continued support of the Inlet through your donations and memberships to the Society.

On behalf of my fellow Directors, I welcome you to this most beautiful and sacred place. Our mission is to keep the Inlet in its natural state as our founder and benefactor, James F. (Mac) Macdonald intended.
